Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson graciously accepts his Razzie award in the shadow of the Oscars

In the shadow of the Oscars, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter to share with his fans the hilarious news of him winning a Razzie award. And you know what, he actually seemed pretty proud about it! The Golden Raspberry Awards (aka Razzies) are given to the worst movies in Hollywood, and Johnson has won one of these for his appearance in the Baywatch reboot – ouch. However, despite his movie being ranked the worst by fans, the star was pretty excited about the fact it meant that the Razzies needed to come up with a new category especially for the movie.

It was just so terrible that it couldn’t even win Worst Movie. No. The title that the film took away with it was: A Movie So Rotten You Eventually Fell in Love With It. It could be worse, right? Anyway, Dwayne couldn’t wait to tell his fans and during a video that he released on Twitter here he wished his friends good luck at the Oscars, and also boasted about his own prestigious award. He said: ‘It’s Oscar Sunday, I’m super pumped and very proud of my buddies who are nominated. I’m pulling for you guys to bring home the gold.

‘I’m also excited because I was just informed that I too am bringing home the gold tonight, no not an Oscar, but maybe one day, but a Razzie. ‘Razzies are the annual awards given out to Hollywood’s worse movies and I have officially won one for Baywatch.’ He added: ‘But here’s the cool thing. The movie was so bad, they actually had to create a new category, I’m not kidding, that category, the new category is A Movie So Rotten You Eventually Fell in Love With It. I’m not kidding ‘Which means the shit sandwich you have been eaten is so bad that you eventually started to like it.
