Roger Goodell runs a 5.41 40-yard dash through the NFL office

he 40-yard dash is the marquee event at the NFL Combine every year, and for the first time since 2015, commissioner Roger Goodell got in on the action.
Goodell tweeted that he would be going to the 5th floor of the NFL’s offices to run his 40 after being called out by Rich Eisen. He did that, and ran a 5.41, which was better than his 5.53 in 2015.
Here’s Goodell in full sprint in his suit and dress shoes:

Eisen runs the 40-yard dash every year in a full suit to raise awareness for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital with the #RunRichRun campaign. He encourages others to record themselves running the 40-yard dash as he does.
Goodell’s 5.41 was better than six players at the 2018 NFL Combine. It’s impressive, but it’s also unofficial, so you might imagine his time might not have been all that accurate.
To be fair to Goodell, there’s probably not a lot of 59-year-olds who could run the same time.
