Find treats and goodies at free Easter egg hunts throughout the Madison area this weekend. The Easter Bunny says to please be sure to bring your basket or a bag with you wherever you decide to hunt!

On the East Side, forage for eggs at St. Dennis Parish, 413 Dempsey Road, 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday (up to 10 years old, 608-246-5123, www.facebook.com/SaintDennisParish) and Great Dane Eastside, 876 Jupiter Drive, 10:30 a.m. Saturday (in park kitty-corner from pub, 608-442-1333, www.greatdanepub.com/event/easter-egg-hunt-kid-disco). A Great Dane Kid Disco will follow their egg hunt.
On the West Side, enjoy a free pancake breakfast along with an egg hunt at Westwood Christian Church, 5210 Odana Road, 9-11 a.m. Saturday (up to 4th grade and parents/grandparents, www.facebook.com/westwoodchristian). You can also seek Easter eggs at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 110 N. Whitney Way, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday (molc.us), and West High School football field, 30 Ash St., 11 a.m. until all eggs are found Saturday, hosted by Red Village Church (ages 2 to 10 years old, 770-630-3847, www.redvillagechurch.com/2018/easter-egg-stravaganza).
People of any age with special needs can join in the Easter fun as a separate egg hunt is offered in Winnequah Park, 1011 Nichols Road, Monona, during the regular hunt 10 a.m. Saturday (up to 10 years old for regular hunt, mymonona.com/446/Easter-Egg-Hunt).

Easter hat parade

Parade around Capitol Square in your finest Easter hat! Assemble at Capitol Kids, 8 S. Carroll St., by 11:45 a.m. Saturday to join the noon-time parade. Bring a hat from home, your favorite hat or one you made, or create one when you participate in a free hat-making workshop 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Madison Children’s Museum, 100 N. Hamilton St., or 10-11:30 a.m. at Capitol Kids. All ages and all kinds of family-friendly hats are welcome!
